The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to help shape and improve how technology works across Liberty.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance support, engineering, and uplift — solving complex issues, delivering new solutions, and continuously improving the way our workplace technology operates.

You’ll be part of a high-impact team that supports the entire business, with real influence over tools, platforms, and how work gets done. If you enjoy variety, ownership, and making things better (not just keeping them running), this role is for you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive continuous improvement and uplift across tools, processes, and user experience
  • Act as a senior escalation point, resolving complex issues and identifying root causes
  • Design, scope, and implement technology solutions across the business
  • Use automation, scripting, and AI to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
  • Support and optimise platforms including Microsoft 365, Intune, device management, and endpoint security
  • Deliver projects and migrations (e.g. Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Slack, integrations)
  • Help maintain a strong customer-first service culture
  • Work closely with the team and stakeholders to deliver practical, high-quality outcomes

Why this role?

  • Be part of a core, high-impact team that works across the entire business
  • Real ownership and influence over how workplace technology evolves
  • A mix of hands-on engineering, problem solving, and project delivery
  • Opportunity to drive automation, AI, and smarter ways of working
  • A team culture that values practicality, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Plenty of variety — no two days look the same

Enough about us, lets talk about you

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience in End User Computing / Modern Workplace in a corporate environment
  • Deep working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including:
    • Microsoft 365 - Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and core M365 workloads
    • Azure - Entra ID, conditional access, Azure Virtual Desktop
    • Intune - device management, endpoint configuration and compliance policies
    • Windows environments – hybrid Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
    • Security and access – Microsoft Defender, Email Security Gateway, and Zero Trust Network Access (Zscaler / ZTNA)
  • Experience with AI, scripting and automation tools (PowerShell essential)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause and long-term fixes
  • Ability to balance support and project work in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, structured approach with a focus on outcomes
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge and uplift others
  • Experience delivering workplace migrations and uplift initiatives
  • Experience with Patch My PC, and ideally Jamf
