The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced people leader to lead our Helpdesk & EUC/Modern Workplace team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves developing people, improving how work gets done, and delivering great service in a fast-paced environment.

This is a core team at Liberty, supporting every part of the business and playing a critical role in keeping people productive and work moving. The team is responsible for keeping technology running smoothly while continuously improving how people work through projects and platform uplift. This includes BAU support and project delivery across Microsoft 365, Intune, Jamf, AV, device and application management and patching, endpoint security, helpdesk support, and migrations (e.g. Slack to Teams, Exchange to O365, cross tenant migrations).

If you believe support should feel helpful, enjoy working in a broad and impactful role, and are excited about using AI and automation to work smarter - read on.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, coach and develop a Melbourne based team delivering helpdesk support, EUC and modern workplace services
  • Create a strong customer-first service culture - practical, empathetic, and solutions-focused
  • Support your team to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
  • Drive delivery of projects and continuous uplift across tools, processes, and ways of working
  • Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to free up time for higher-value work that will improve experience
  • Provide clear direction, regular feedback, and meaningful development opportunities
  • Balance people leadership with delivery - removing blockers and keeping momentum high
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders across the business to support projects

Enough about us, lets talk about you

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience as a people leader, with a track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing teams
  • Background in helpdesk, end user computing, or modern workplace environments
  • Strong customer service mindset - you solve problems, not deflect them
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and helping others do the same
  • Experience driving change, uplift, or improvement initiatives
  • A proactive, structured, and outcome-oriented approach
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI, automation, and smarter ways of working

Why this role?

  • Real influence over how the team works and grows
  • A chance to modernise support through AI and automation
  • A leadership role where people development genuinely matters
  • Plenty of variety - no two days look the same
  • Exposure to meaningful, challenging work that makes an impact – this role works across the business, giving it broad reach, high visibility, and real impact
