The Opportunity
We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team and help ensure that what Liberty builds and deploys is secure.
This is a hands-on engineering role with real breadth. You will spend your time on DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, and application security tooling, with genuine ownership of the work.
You will also play a meaningful part in how Liberty thinks about AI security. The way we secure AI is going to grow significantly, and if you are excited by AI and want to do real work in this space, the runway is here.
What your day will look like
- Embed secure development practices into how Liberty builds software, including secure SDLC, code and pipeline security and threat modelling.
- Support the secure design and deployment of cloud infrastructure, including reviewing and writing infrastructure as code and applying security baselines.
- Operate and tune our application security tooling and integrate it cleanly into developer pipelines.
- Help mature our AI security capability and the controls that support its safe adoption across the business.
- Provide technical remediation guidance on penetration test, audit and vulnerability findings.
- Contribute to cross-Technology engineering forums on security topics that benefit the wider department.
- Document architecture, solutions and implementation guides clearly enough to be useful to people outside cyber.
- Stay current with emerging threats, technologies and countermeasures, and bring that thinking back to the team.
